Toner pads are cotton rounds soaked in toner with various functionalities to fit different skin types. The cotton pads usually have a rough side (for mild exfoliation) and a smooth side (for hydration). They have become quite trendy, and now most brands offer toner pads within their product range. The Freeup brand specialises in toner pads, offering six products for different skin concerns. The pads differ in appearance as well to fit your needs. You can purchase them in 3 sizes: a container with 70 pads or a travelling pack containing ten sachets with two pads. That is an excellent idea, as you can use one sachet daily: one pad in the morning and the second in the evening. It is also easy to pack and perfectly safe to take onboard. The last packaging is a starter kit, and it contains six sachets (12 pads) with the whole range, so you can try them out first and then decide which type you like the best.

After washing your face, gently wipe your skin with the cotton pad. Leave the pad (or pads) on your face for extra moisturising and soothing effects for 10 to 20 minutes. To remove the pad from the container, use the included tweezers, remove the pad, and gently push the lid's middle part to keep your pads sealed.

These mildly acidic toner pads moisturise and soothe tired and sensitive skin. The pad, made of unbleached pure cotton, is 70 cm in diameter. The size is perfect for wiping your face, neck and chest. Because of the eco-friendly processing method, the cotton has a natural colour and texture with visible spots of cotton seeds. The essence contains Chamaecyparis Obtusa leaf extract that reduces stress and calms skin. Xylitol is an ingredient that protects the skin's moisture barrier. Centella Asiatica, Madecassoside and Houttuynia Cordata calm sensitive and tired skin.

It leaves no residue, and the pad is gentle enough to use around the eye area to remove eye makeup, including mascara. The main ingredients include Bromelain enzymes (pineapple) for exfoliation, chamomile flower water to refresh and soothe the skin, moisturising Sodium Hyaluronate and Salvia Hispanica seed that can hold water up to ten times more than its weight.

How to use: Wipe off makeup with the embossed side of the pad. Gently place the pad on your eyes and then remove the eye makeup. Wash your face with a foam or gel cleanser.

These pads moisturise and brighten the skin and are excellent for dry skin or any skin that needs proper moisture and hydration. The milky toner contains three natural ceramide lipids that strengthen the skin's protective barrier. Five types of fermented ingredients (rice, beans, Chinese pearl barley, potato and ginseng extract) help the skin to absorb nutrients leaving the skin moisturised, nourished and brightened. With its whitening properties, Mulberry tree root extract helps keep skin pigmentation at bay. The three-layered pad is excellent for moisture retention and ideal for delivering the product to the skin.

The Victory Blemish Clear pads are excellent for troubled skin as it calms and soothe the skin while gently removing dead skin cells and excess sebum. The toner contains eggplant extract, carrot extract and Eucalyptus Globus leaf oil to calm irritated skin. Salicylic acid (BHA) works deeper to clear sebum in the pores and prevent new clogs from forming. It can also reduce excess oil by slowing down sebum production. Creating a starter kit and travelling-sized toner pads was an excellent idea. You can get the starter kit and then decide which type of pads you want to use based on the effect you wish to accomplish. The pads are all very juicy; there is an abundance of the toner in the container so that I could wipe my entire face, neck and chest. I also like using the pads as a sheet mask, as you can combine them. I also like the idea of so many different types (six!) so every person can find what suits them.
